There is no school December 24 - January 1. 
Classes resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Middle School Students Fill 147 Boxes

Middle school students filled care packages 
for Operation Send a Smile on Wednesday. 
Students led by Mr. Wabbe packed 147 boxes containing donated items such as candy, gum, toothpaste, drink mixes and notes of encouragement to 11 different soldiers serving our country overseas. A special thanks goes out to the students, Mr Wabbe, families who donated and to community members who will ship the packages. This year's drive far exceeded last year's numbers.

SPAN

SPAN (Synergy/SAGE Parent Action Network) will have its next meeting on Th. Jan. 10 at 7pm in the WestWood Media Center.  Our focus will be on middle school advanced programming.  Dan Edwards, principal at TOMS, Sasha Kuznetsov, principal at HOMS, and a selection of teachers of advanced classes will be in attendance to discuss the differences between advanced sections and regular sections of their courses.  Please contact Apryl at span.priorlake@gmail.com with questions or for more information.

Jazz Band Welcomes Students to TOMS

Twin Oaks Students were welcomed to school this morning with a special performance by the Twin Oaks Jazz Band, "Coldfront".

Tops Raise Money for TOMS

Thanks to everyone who sent in box tops and milk caps for our recent tops drive. We raised $250 which will help to fund educational materials for TOMS students. Congratulations to the top Tops for TOMS collectors: Mrs. Quinn’s prime time! They will be celebrating with a pizza party, courtesy of Domino’s and the PACT group. Please keep collecting tops. We’ll have another contest in the spring.

Potluck Thank You

Thanks to everyone who contributed appetizers and treats for the holiday potluck. Teachers and staff were very grateful for the chance to sample the tasty treats before they began their evening of conferences.

Celebrate TOMS Teachers and Staff with a Holiday Potluck

In appreciation for the extra time that TOMS teachers and staff put in during conferences, our PACT parent group is planning a holiday potluck for next Thursday, Dec. 13. Please consider bringing a hearty appetizer, snack or holiday treat that they can enjoy before their evening of conferences. LAST CALL - Box Top Contest Ends Tuesday

Our Tops for TOMS box top and milk cap drive ends tomorrow, Dec. 4. Remember to send in Box Tops for Education and 5-cent milk lids (Land O’Lakes & Kwik Trip) with your student. The prime time class to collect the most tops will win a pizza party to celebrate, courtesy of PACT (Parents Assisting Children and Teachers) and our local Domino’s. Tops must be clipped and clean to enter! And be sure to mark the bag with your student’s prime time teacher or room number. Proceeds will help to fund educational materials at Twin Oaks. Thanks for your support!
