Washington DC trip 2015-16

Attention seventh graders signed up for next year’s Washington D.C. trip. We will be having a mandatory meeting for all student participants Thursday, March 26^th at Hidden Oaks in Room 394 or Tuesday, March 31^st  in the Twin Oaks Media Center. Students signed up need to attend one of these meetings. The meetings will start at 2:30 and last until 3:15. If you have any questions please talk to Mr. Mertens or Mr. Dapper also please check the Schoology  Washington D.C. trip group page for more details about the meeting and next year’s trip.

State National Geographic Bee

Congratulations Twin Oaks 8th grader Carter Mong. Carter has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2015 Minnesota National Geographic State Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek.  The contest will be held at St. Cloud State University on Friday, March 27th, 2015.  Best of Luck Carter!

We need you!

If you have any kind of talent that you would like to share with an audience, it is time for you to put together an act or skit, magic, beatboxing or juggling, song or dance, lip sync or rock band. 

We need a variety of things.  This is a fun opportunity to share your talents!

You will be asked to audition for the directors so start preparing.  This is open to any 6,7, & 8th grader from Hidden Oaks or Twin Oaks.

The Variety Show will be held on 2 nights.

Thurs.April 30th and Fri. May 1st 

in the TOMS Auditorium.

Auditions will be held

April 6th,7th, & 8th at Hidden Oaks in the choir room.

Auditions are from 2:30-4:00 pm

We Change Celebration

Thanks for all you did Twin Oaks families to promote the We Change event and encourage your students to donate; it was a very successful fundraiser. Our Student Council appreciates everyone supporting this cause. For students reaching and surpassing the $2000.00 goal, Dr. Edwards and Mr. Dahl will face off in a “goat milk drinking contest” and give a sendoff to campers (Wabbe/Ficklin/Chalupsky/Dapper).  The four Twin Oaks teachers will camp outside Wednesday, on the school front campus.  Follow the teachers frigid night on Twitter @4frzingteachers
