Mountain Bike Team

The Prior Lake Mountain Bike Team is getting ready to roll!  This is a co-ed team open to all students entering 7^th – 12^th grade next year.  An information meeting will be held on Thursday, April 21^st at 7PM in the Twin Oaks Media Center.

7th Gr. Science Class

This spring Mrs. Clemmerson’s 7^th grade life science students have begun a weekly phenology lesson once a week in the outdoor classroom.  Students are part of a citizen science program called Nature’s Notebook to track phenology data on the site to look for seasonal changes and long term trends.  The nature based preschoolers also join Mrs. Clemmerson’s science hours to learn about plants and animals from the 7^th graders.

April is Autism Awareness Month

Autism Facts from TOMS Teachers...

Wave Qtr 4.

The WAVE is an after-school program for students in sixth through eighth grades at Hidden Oaks and Twin Oaks Middle Schools. The WAVE provides a positive, safe environment for students to socialize with peers, receive homework help and explore new skills through participation in creative an physical activities that reflect their own interests. After-school programs have been shown to help students improve academic achievement, confidence, teamwork, physical activity, creativity and time management skills as well as relieve stress on working families. Potential activities include sports, art club, cooking club, swimming, and more! Registration for Summer Wave is also open!

4th Quarter Schedule

The end of Quarter 3 is Thursday, April 7th.  The new quarter begins Monday April 11.  Please check your child’s schedule and contact TOMS guidance office by Thursday April 7th if necessary to correct any errors.   The only change to 6^th graders schedule will be the additional of a new quarter elective.   7^th grade schedules will not change at all and 8^th grade schedules may look different based on the new quarter   Also, please note that Thursday April 7th is a 2 hour early release day and that Friday April 8 is a no school today.
