2014 Verizon Innovative App Challenge


Twin Oaks Middle School student team has been selected as a Best in State winner in the 2014 Verizon Innovative App Challenge.

The students' app concept, Student Central, earned top points for its creativity, innovative design, and application of STEM principles to the development process. Student Central is an interactive app concept that incorporates educational games based on STEM, messaging for the sustainment of social health, discussion rooms for assignments and more.  

Congratulations to teacher Megan Luckhardt and students: Max Devos, Anthony Martins, Carter Busch, James Durnbaugh, Ryan Fuller and Tristan Knoeck. 

The team now moves on to the Best in Region phase of the judging. Winning teams will be announced in February.
